DAYSONGS

THE GARDEN

This is the fourth poem for our Poetry for Children storybook, a poetic short story

Daysongs
Tales for children of all ages
by Jhon Ramirez
Editor: Tania Carrasco

Changes in the weather signal
You can't stay the same.
Take a walk in the morning sunlight.
Come home together in the rain.

Two lovebirds Sisters
Live life as colorful artistic selfies for walking.
They build love around their relationship with the children.
It is formed from the child within them.

All animals are the living creatures of God.
That first day with my first Spanish teacher,
A mountain lion appears at our door,
Then a dog with sapphire eyes and E.S.P.

Like the fairy dreamer and the butterfly on me
Talking to the bee sucking the flowers,
The butterfly on the rose
She tells the frog she knows.

I start the first class with my second Spanish teacher.
I'm looking at her emerald eyes.
The cricket on the windowsill
Looking at her too.
We're watching hummingbirds make love on Valentine’s Day,
And the beetle on the table
Point out the title of the book.

The caterpillar and the spider
The frog, dragonfly and princess,
Everyone looks up.

A giant dinosaur
With a turtle and a snail on his back,
And their houses and all their belongings on their back!

Ride, Dino, Ride, says the water turtle.
Ride, Dino, ride, the snail cries.

The princess kisses the frog
Who becomes not a prince but a doctor.

"I'm here to give birth to your baby,
Will you marry me?"
The doctor asks the princess
Who answers
“You are not so subtle, but fast and direct. Was it good for you too?"

Suddenly, the snail falls from Dino's back and breaks its shell.
Desperate and determined to survive,
Mr. snail climbs the giant aloe cactus.

The doctor brings him food and moves him on a towel to try to repair his home.

He takes a thin raincoat and applies it to the shell.

The snail lord climbs on the tail of a giant dinosaur that was hidden in a cave for a thousand centuries.

"I would kiss you again" says the princess to the doctor "but I'm afraid you could become a frog."

"That would be fine, lovely princess,

changing me, I will stay close to your beautiful hair.

If you don't marry me, I will be a happy frog.

And if you marry me, I will keep you worry-free,

and all the creatures of God, great and small,
Short and tall, from the sky to the tree,
Will see you and me
Riding on the back of a giant water turtle. "

And they lived together happily
Through each chapter.
"Will you come with me
To enjoy every moment,
merrily?"

The Garden

In this garden there are flowers

Plants that grow food, fruit trees

 and many bees

Worms and ladybugs

Caterpillars and dragonflies

 spiders and butterflies

 slugs and snails, a rabbit

sound of ocean whales

and many different birds

Sail the sky every day

There are no iguanas here, only lizards on their way

Gardeners don't like slugs

"It's us or them," says the gardener

The bees are busy making honey

The birds sing and fly and keep us happy

In the outdoor sun, fog and dew.

I have a friend Mr. Snail

My lord snail is wise

He keeps his house on his back

Knows when and where to take a nap

In this pot he stays

Comes out at night

I bring him food early in the morning

Lettuce he likes

He sleeps in the pot during the day

It's so green in this garden

Children are very active moving fast

But focused and conscious

The kids are climbing the trees

I try to be like a fly on the wall

And let them be

Seeing every move they make

The girls want to be pushed on the swings

They want attention

"Look at me, look at me," they say

I take out a compact mirror from my phone and show them

The mirrors are to see, I say

And a girl responds

¨ looking for me¨

The other girl responds

¨looking at me¨

The boys discover

Catepillars and throw them at the girls

Who put them in a box

The butterfly watches children playing and collecting caterpillars

She is trapped in a spider web

Before the spider spun its silk cloth

The butterfly remembers that she was a little caterpillar

And she also wove a net, a cocoon

A place to rest and change

But the butterfly was worried

That the spider would come and eat her

Now the children see the butterfly and one takes a stick to help her

The other says that the spider has spidey sense and knows that the butterfly is here and his only worry is that she will destroy his beautiful web trying to escape

One of the children says

"The spider will not eat the butterfly because she dines with buttermilk and spiders do not like its taste"

The little boy slowly and carefully helps free the butterfly

He lifts her up and immediately she closes her wings but quietly stays in his hand

He cups the butterfly and places it in the palm of my hand

She closes her wings, opens them and moves to my fingers

She moves to the edge of my finger ready to jump

"It's ready to fly," says one of the girls

"She can't fly yet"

The other girl says

"My sense of the spider says she's going to be dinner tonight," says the boy

¨ She put a hole in his home web¨

"What about the caterpillars?"

¨ Push me, push me¨

¨Look at me, look at me¨

Singing birds and busy bees fly around the garden

Nature is the perfect playground

for happy children

 El Jardín

En este jardin hay flores

Plantas que cultivan alimentos, árboles frutales

 y muchas abejas

Gusanos y mariquitas

Orugas y libélulas

 arañas y mariposas

 babosas y caracoles, un conejo

sonido de las ballenas oceánicas

y muchas aves diferentes

LADYBUG & BUTTERFLY

Ladybug I am
Look at me
Everything snug in the garden
Everyone else notices you
She says to the butterfly
Who says

"I beg your pardon
I notice you
In the giant sunflower "

And I see you
On the flower flying flower to flower
And tasting the flowers with your feet

"And my wings must remain dry
So that I can fly "
Says the butterfly

You know I like to hang out in the leaves
They use sunlight to make water and air become food for trees
They can also be food for me

"It's where I put my eggs
Where the caterpillars will grow and change
The leaves also change color
Where the sun's rays shine "

That pumpkin is too plump for her to hold
And at night we sleep very comfortable.

"And I also dream about you, ladybug"

MARIQUITA Y MARIPOSA

Mariquita soy
Mírame
Todo cómodo en el jardín
Todos los demás te notan
Ella dice a la mariposa
Quien dice

THE OWL, THE BUTTERFLY & THE BEE

Let's take a walk
Outside we run
Playing all day
And have fun said El Niño to La Niña
Let's use our imagination
For great fascination
Our world is full of wonders
Above the rainbow we are under

She is wearing a purple dress
And pink princess shoes
He wears a dinosaur shirt
And a great smile too
Look at me he says
And whispers a secret in her ear
She says "What can I do?
I do not have wings
Like the bird that speaks to me in the trees
And when I read
And when I dream
Look at you I see you "

Climb the tree and listen
They talk with the birds
And the bees
"Who?" says the owl
The bee buzzing "Me!"
The crickets squeaking
Hummingbird humming
The caterpillar crawls with the snail and the turtle
The spider looks from the cobweb
Ladybug looks up
See the dragonfly and the squirrel jumps by
Only the bee and the butterfly and the owl speak
"I see a fox" says the owl
"And the fox told me":
"You have a head like the pumpkin
You have a banana nose
Cheeks full of apples
Fruits and cheese hung on your toes
Hands smell nectarines
A mouth with figs that shouts "Who, who?" and laughs
And pear of ears "
"A hungry fox like the one we can overcome" says the bee
"I have a face the shape of a heart" says the owl
"I have beautiful wings and antenna to fly" says the butterfly
"I can make honey and smell with my nose
And find the best nectar of the best rose" says the bee

He says to her
Use our imagination
For great fascination
Puzzle to do together
I love reading another book
Look at me, look
I see you look
Once again, other days
So fun with you game
Only the two of us in the tree
Listening to the owl the butterfly and the bee
Speaking with small insects
And the birds and the squirrels

We all read to all the boys and the girls
Let's use our imagination
For great fascination

LA LECHUZA, LA MARIPOSA Y LA ABEJA

Vamos a caminar
Afuera corremos
Jugando todo el día
Y diviértete dijo El Niño a La Niña.
Usemos nuestra imaginación
Para gran fascinación
Nuestro mundo está lleno de maravillas.
Por encima del arcoíris estamos abajo.

Ella lleva un vestido morado
Y zapatos princesa rosa
Lleva una camisa de dinosaurio.
Y una gran sonrisa también.
Mírame me dice
Y susurra un secreto en su oído.
Ella dice "¿Qué puedo hacer?
No tengo alas

Mariquita mira hacia arriba

Me encanta leer otro libro

You can draw yourself inside a scene
In a yellow submarine
In a sea of green
Where children have fun and nobody acting like a bully

I see the pond on the shore
froggy frog
the water lanterns
froggy frog
your green emerald body
froggy frog
With black silk spots

You can draw a cool and chill ride
With a smile that you can not hide
The road is narrow
But the bridge is wide
You do not have to do it because someone else does it

We are under the stars in a sea of green
In the story and not the dream
In his eyes where his love shines
Rose purple and tangerine
Great clouds and a time machine
The lonely heart club band
All they need is love and a yellow submarine
Everything in the mind that you know we call it a running stream
She loves you, yes, yes, my sun, shine, reverie

The coolest place to be is inside a yellow submarine
Brought to a sea of green
On a boat zoomed under a moonbeam
With my mom, queen
Sincere hot supreme
and her eye on me
Mine in her kitchen
She looks at the frog, little frog and mermaid in the middle
All you need is love and a yellow submarine
